Hello, I’m Adam Nash and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes that throughout life everyone goes through times and situations when they need someone to support them and help guide them to a healthier version of themselves. I desire to come alongside you as you struggle through everything that life throws at you. My goal is to work with you to allow you to live the healthiest life possible and to overcome all that life throws at you.
I focus on working with Adult Men on an individual basis to help them develop the strongest and clearest understanding of themselves and how to cope with the world around them. I use many different therapy techniques to accomplish this goal. I work, first and foremost, from a Client-Centered Perspective which means that you get to “drive the ship” when it comes to your therapy and move at the pace that feels comfortable to you. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you understand your thoughts and feelings and how they affect your actions as well as using Mindfulness to help you develop healthier ways to cope with the stresses of life. Finally, I use Internal Family Systems to allow you to understand your internal processing to better allow you to live the life you desire.
Education & Experience
I earned my Masters in Counseling from Spring Arbor University and started my career working residential treatment before moving into private practice. I have also served as a Coach for a few sports and worked in an employment training program helping teens develop work skills.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife. Playing hockey, working out, and playing board games with friends. I also love learning new things in my spare time from watching YouTube or reading books.
