LeAnn Bastien, LLPC, Licensed Therapist

Hi, my name is LeAnn Bastien. I am a limited licensed counselor (LLPC). I specialize in working with children who struggle with difficult behavior concerns, anxiety, depression, and/or adjustment concerns. I also work with adults struggling with addiction, anxiety, depression, and/or managing everyday stressors.

Counseling approach

I work collaboratively with the patient to identify not only their goals of counseling, but also their strengths and supports. I use a combination of talk therapy, play therapy, cognitive reframing, mindfulness, and psychotherapy to help you achieve your goals.

Education and Experience

I graduated from Western Michigan University with a Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2017. Since then I have worked with patients in the Michigan Corrections System with issues such as substance abuse, anger management, and sexual assault charges. I also have over 10 years of experience working in the foster care system as both a case manager and as a supervisor. My experience also includes several years of experience working with children in the foster care system in the outpatient setting and the inpatient setting; as well as working in an opiate treatment center with patients with substance abuse disorders.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling and being outdoors in the summer. In the winter, I enjoy spending time with family and watching a good movie.

If you would like to schedule a free, 15 minute introductory consultation  with me, or otherwise schedule a session call 616-499-4711 or click the “Schedule with LeAnn” button below; I’d be happy to meet with you and help explore next steps.
