Caitlin specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families. She has previously worked in an elementary school setting with children dealing with ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and trauma. Caitlin’s viewpoint of therapy is that life hands us many challenges, some may feel like tall mountains and some may feel more like small hills. As a clinician she feels that her job has two parts, one is to share “climbing gear” (coping skills) with clients as they navigate these challenges, and the other is to make sure clients have someone by their side supporting them as they “climb”. Caitlin is grateful to be a part of her clients’ journeys and hopes to provide a warm and welcoming space for all.
Personal Perspective
“My therapeutic approach comes from a trauma-informed background and I like to utilize skills from arts therapy, music therapy, mindfulness, strengths based, and family systems theories in my practice. I'm passionate about making my practice a safe space for all clients and their families, and I love to work with parents, school counselors, social workers and others as a team to figure out what approaches and tools work best for each individual client.”
